HOW RYZEN CHANGED THE PC MARKET

Ever since the release of 2nd generation Intel Core processor, Intel has really started slacking as after each release there have only been small improvements in processor performance. This happened to Intel due to no competition from AMD. Although AMD did release some processor but the IPC of these chips has been horrible.
But now with the release of Ryzen, a new set of chips based on the Zen architecture and 14 nm process. Ryzen has a large IPC improvement from AMD older chips, and this time is actually capable of AAA gaming with high resolution.

Ryzen comes in 3 flavors Ryzen 7, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3. Ryzen 7 are 8 core 16 thread chips while Ryzen 5 is a 6/4 core beast with 12 and 8 threads respectively. Where as R3 is a chip with 4 cores and 4 threads. The biggest factor to Ryzen' s  success is its price. You can get an 8 core Ryzen processor for 320$ , 6 core for 210$, 4 core 4 thread chip for 180 $, and 4 core 4 thread chip for 110$.Now while building a gaming PC, You could spend half the amount on a 4 core AMD processor than you would on an  Intel equivalent PC granted that the Intel one will be better due to IPC advancement. When you start comparing the price of AMD's 8 core and 6 core processors to Intel' s processors, you will find that Intel's 8 core costs 600$ while the 6 core has a price tag of 390$

what It means to us:

We , the consumer have the biggest advantage of AMD's comeback in the CPU market. This not only provides us with cheaper and cheaper processor but this competition is what will insure us that we keep getting cheaper and more powerful chips ear after year.
